Supporting St. Mary's Student Athletes

Since 1989 the Royal Blue Club has been devoted to fostering excellence in St. Mary’s High School Athletics through financial support. The Royal Blue Club is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit organization, led by a volunteer board who contribute financially and through service.

The Royal Blue Club helps subsidize the cost of running the athletic program at St. Mary’s High School with valuable support and recognition to all St. Mary’s athletic teams including the purchase of team uniforms and equipment. Royal Blue funds financial aid packages and provides opportunities for qualified student/athletes to attend and play for St. Mary’s High School.

All alumni, parents and friends of St. Mary’s High School athletics are invited to join the club and may choose to participate at their own level of interest. Annual dues are just $105 and are collected on a yearly basis.

Your contributions and membership have allowed Royal Blue to provide St. Mary’s High School with financial support of over $1,500,000 since 2002!

In just the past 3 years the Royal Blue Club has:

• Paid over $125,000 in financial aid
• Pledged $100,000 to the Team House campaign
• Spent more than $50,000 on sports uniforms for girls and boys sports including baseball, track, wrestling, football, field hockey, lacrosse and soccer
• Purchased girls lacrosse sideline jackets and shooter shirts as well as girls soccer shirts and boys lacrosse shooter shirts
• Funded more than $3,000 worth of gym and weight room equipment
• Paid for all end-of-season sports banquets
• Purchased the gym’s new digital scoreboard for use by basketball, volleyball and wrestling teams
• Paid to repair water and electrical issues at the turf field Landscaped the turf hill area
• Supplied busses for students to attend the MIAA baseball playoffs
• Developed relationships and made financial donations to the Annapolis Boys and Girls Club to facilitate usage of the Heritage turf practice field
• Purchased Goalpost video taping system to help St. Mary’s players in multiple sports use game and practice film as a development and recruiting tool
• Sponsored the Kellie Thompson Shiley Jersey retirement ceremony Sponsored the Jim Sheehan Roast and Alumni basketball game
